Description

This sword is a replica of Kyojuro Rengoku Nichirin katana. This sword is a deep shade of red-orange in color with the words Destroy Demons (あっめっさつ Akki Messatsu) engraved on the side. Combined with a flame pattern on each side of the blade with a white handle and a tsuba to match, this sword is his best companion.

Swordsmanship style

Kyojuro is extremely proficient in fighting with the Breathing style taught by Hashira and Shinjuro Regoku:

  • First Form: Unknowing Fire: The user charges towards their opponent at high speed and decapitates them in one slash.
  • Second Form: Rising Scorching Sun: The user releases an arching slash attack upwards.
  • Third Form: Blazing Universe; The user swings their blade downwards in an arc.
  • Fourth Form: Blooming Flame Undulation: The user swings their blade in a circular motion that can defend them from all incoming attacks or decapitate multiple enemies at once.
  • Fifth Form: Flame Tiger: The user unleashes a powerful series of sword slashes that seemingly takes the form of a rampaging tiger engulfed in flames that charges towards the enemy at blinding speeds.
  • Ninth Form: Rengoku: A devastating dashing slash that the user initiates from a high stance, the technique had enough power to carve a deep impression that burnt the ground where it was unleashed.

Beautiful Sword, Minor Paint Defects

Absolutely beautiful sword and did not expect the sheath to be wrapped in leather. The details on the sword are beautiful. My only complaint is that the red flames on the blade could be painted better as it does seem like a thin coat was applied and that was it. There was also some yellow paint on the guard and I was little bummed out as that is the staple piece of the sword. All together though, it is very nice.

Hi Dustin,

Thanks for appreciating our sword! We'll take your feedback and pass it on to our product team for evaluation and possible improvements. We appreciate you leaving a feedback.

Minor imperfections but amazing overall

The katana came with small chips in the paint, a part of the decal on the blade was not fully painted, and the tip of the blade was slightly bent to one side. Otherwise the quality of materials, the weight, and the presentation was all impressive. Especially for the price.

Hi Jeremy,

Thanks for your feedback. We apologize for some imperfections on the sword, we'll see how we can improve these in the future. I'm glad that you're still happy with your purchase regardless. Enjoy your sword!

A Solid Replica

Overall I'm fairly satisfied. There are a few imperfections in the finishing. Chips and smears in the paint both along the blade and in the cross guard. However, they are fairly minor and would not stop me from purchasing more blades from this company.

Hi Tanner,

Thanks for leaving a review. Your feedback is well noted and we'll pass this on to our product team for improvement.

Overall great, but lacking

Overall I'd say I'm happy with my purchase. The materials are high quality, the blade feels sturdy, and it overall looks very close to the sword in the show.

However, there are a few things that disappointed me about my sword. First and foremost, the blade is not exactly centered with the hilt, and it is quite noticeably off to one side. The engraving also looks smudged, like it wasn't done precisely. Hard to describe, but it doesn't look very "clean". This detracts from the overall look of the sword and makes it feel less display worthy. There are also some issues with the finish on various parts of the hilt that make it look scratched and sloppy.

These issues have led to some disappointment in my purchase.

Hi Noah,

Thanks for taking the time to leave a review. It's nice to hear that you're overall satisfied with your sword. I understand your disappointment in some areas. As we try our best to provide exceptional service, there are rare occasions where outside factors like shipping and handling can affect the condition of the sword, such as alignment of the blade or minor scratches. Most cases can be easily fixed and we can provide guidance on how to do this. I'll pass on your feedback about the engraving to our product team to see how we can possibly improve in that area. Please feel free to contact us anytime if you have issues and we'll be happy to assist you.

How is your sword made?

Sword Crafting In 3 Simple Steps

All our swords are hand-crafted using traditional forging methods that have been in place for thousands of years.

Click the tabs above to see exactly how we'll make your sword - from Design, to Forging, to Finishing.

1. Design

Designed by experts.

First, your sword is designed by experts who've crafted thousands of swords. Our product team carefully plans the combination of aesthetics and features that will make up the sword:

Aesthetics: Shape, design, colours, ornaments and decorations, and fittings to determine the look and style of the final piece.

Features: Practicalities such as blade length, blade width, steel type, handle and scabbard dimensions, as well as weight and whether or not the sword will include a Bo-Hi.

2. Forging

Forged by Craftsmen... by hand.

For the inner core of the blade, impurities are removed and steel created via the smelting process. The carbon level is varied (higher or lower) to get a result of softer or harder steel. The brick-sized piece of prepared steel is then forged until soft, and hammered until elongated. It's then folded over and over until all impurities are removed and the desired shape is achieved.

For the outer part of the blade, the heat/pound/fold technique is applied up to 3,000 times to create a strong blade, which is then painted with a clay and charcoal mixture and thrust into water to finalise.

3. Finishing

Finishing touches.

The blade is then polished and a handle attached. From there, the sword is adorned with desired fittings and ornaments, engraved (if desired) and lacquer is applied to the wooden scabbard to create a beautiful, functional piece. It's then carefully packed and shipped out using our courier service, arriving at your door safe and sound.
